Hi I’m Candice Renee Roberts, founder and owner of Kor Bodywork & Wellness. I am a soft tissue specialist with a diverse education in sports injuries, neurological pathologies, abdominal/visceral issues, and overall chronic pain. As a small business owner, I am passionate about teaching and promoting mind-body wellness and daily practices for improved quality of life. I am also a mom of 3 and Portland, Oregon is home for us.

I started Kor Bodywork & Wellness in 2013 after graduating from East West College of the Healing Arts. Leading the Nike, Inc. massage program at Nike headquarters for 7-years, I’ve worked on medical and sports recovery teams for Olympic Trials, Indoor Worlds, Dew Tour, NFL Combine, Junior Worlds and the Prefontaine classic. My career has taken me all over the US and Italy to work with the NFL, NBA, UFC, BMX, USATF, and NHL.

With over 25 years in sports medicine, along with working in emergency medicine, and working on the bodies of elite athletes around the world, I’ve developed diverse philosophical methods by adopting mind-body connection principals designed not just for the elite, but true functional medicine for all.

Asiyih Harrison is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) with 10 years of experience. She is the first practitioner to join the Kor Bodywork & Wellness team as we started to expand in 2021. She and the owner, Candice Simpson, both attended East West College of Healing Arts and stayed in touch throughout their careers. Prior to joining Kor, Asiyih worked alongside other talented practitioners at Chiropractic Clinics, mobile massage within homes and events, and even had her own private practice.

While attending East West College of Healing Arts, Asiyih fell in love with the human body and its functionality. The spark she found at East West continues to grow as she brings her energy into each client session. She uses various techniques such as Structural Integration (Rolfing), Neuromuscular Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Sports Massage, and more.

Asiyih and Candice are both life long learners and collaborate well together. They bounce ideas off of each other when creating treatment plans for clients or to expand their knowledge of their craft. Asiyih’s future sights are set on becoming a certified breathwork coach and diving further into studying the body mechanics and its movements. We are so excited to have Asiyih on the team. She brings a decade of knowledge and added services to Kor’s clients.
